therapist
Amanda is a person-centered and trauma-informed therapist who specializes in working with autistic and ADHD adults and teens. She especially enjoys working with women and LGBTQIA+ clients and strives to create a space where clients feel understood, accepted, and free to show up as themselves. She takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach, recognizing that there is no single “right” way to think, communicate, connect, or experience the world. She works from a psychodynamic lens while drawing from approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and nervous-system-informed interventions, tailoring her work to each client’s individual needs and experiences.
Amanda aims to make therapy a place where clients can gain a better understanding of themselves with curiosity and compassion. She enjoys helping clients explore identity and relationships, while developing insight into how past experiences have shaped and continue to shape the way they see themselves and connect with others. She also helps clients explore the influence of societal and cultural expectations on their self-concept and relationships. Her goal is to help clients develop greater self-compassion, insight, and acceptance of who they are.
Amanda earned her master’s degree from Immaculata University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). She previously worked for five years as an outpatient therapist in a clinical mental health setting, supporting clients with a wide range of mental health concerns.
